My brief

This is a good book; has appropriate balance between theory and code and is very oriented to Bionic libc, system (POSIX) and threads programming.

The books has good coverage of this topics: logging and debugging, JNI, Bionic API (libc and POSIX Android implementation), threads (Java and native) programming and sound OpenSL ES API.

This book doesn't cover purely-native application programming.
